Just a few blocks from the Roman Forum is one of the best places to eat in Rome: Ristorante Mario’s. The menu has an emphasis on seafood, including seafood risotto, shrimp and excellent grilled fish as well at great authentic Roman food. For those that are not fond of food from the sea there are plenty of other choices such as steak, veal and lamb. Traditional dishes such as lasagna, pasta carbonara and amatriciana are prepared to perfection. Prices are modest, with pasta dishes typically €8-12 and meat/fish dishes €10-20.
